About

Dr. Elizabeth Ragsdale, PharmD

I have practiced in a variety of long-term care settings including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, short term rehabs, transitional care centers, and inpatient hospice. I was previously board certified as a geriatric pharmacist, so you can feel confident that you will be provided excellent and appropriate care. I earned my doctorate of pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island, although I currently live and work in Dallas, TX. I am a licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas, so I can complete consults and reviews remotely for any location in Texas.

On a personal note, I became interested in geriatrics during an elective in college. We had several events at the local assisted living facility, and I fell in love with the patient population. After graduating college, I moved to Dallas and started working as a retail pharmacist at Walgreens. I quickly realized that geriatrics/long term care was my calling and began working as a long term care consultant pharmacist for Omnicare Pharmacy in 2012. While my work as a consultant pharmacist taught me how long term care facilities operate and expanded my knowledge of geriatric medicine greatly, I missed the personal patient interactions and consultations. I want to offer you personalized and compassionate medication management to educate, guide, and empower you to achieve optimal health outcomes.
